What is the photoshoot like?
This photoshoot is shot in both indoor studio space and outdoors. I shoot with a very relaxed, easy-going environment so your most authentic YOU comes through in the photos.
How should I dress? Makeup? Hair?
OUTFIT
It’s up to you, usually shirts or blouses with minimal patterns or crazy colors. Remember, the focus is on you, so wear something that will complement your personality and style, but not distract from your beautiful face! For headshots, take a look in the mirror and cover up anything below your nipples, then you can get an idea of what your shirt or blouse will look like in the photos.
MAKEUP
Makeup makes a HUGE difference in headshots. Guys, if you have makeup, a little foundation goes a long way and makes all the difference. Gals, wear about 30% more makeup than you normally would. If you don’t usually wear makeup, a little bit of foundation and mascara is great.
HAIR
Style it how you would if you were going to an interview, or on a first date.
How many outfits can I wear?
As many as you want. I don’t like to limit the number of looks, only the time. If you can squeeze in 5 looks in one hour, that’s great! Just be mindful how long it takes to change looks. Sometimes, just adding a scarf, glasses, or tie makes a big difference.
Will you photoshop my wrinkles?
I don’t believe in completely removing wrinkles, but I do soften and lighten them so they aren’t as prevelent. I will remove acne and other blemishes, as well as do an overall softening of the skin which brightens up the eyes and adds a “de-aging” effect. If you prefer to have no photoshopping done, then let me know at your shoot and I’m happy to do that.
