What is the photoshoot like?
This photoshoot is a 30-minute outdoor photoshoot in Libbey Park, downtown Ojai. The park is part shade and has many picturesque spots.
How should I dress? Makeup? Hair?
OUTFIT
It’s up to you, usually shirts or blouses with minimal patterns or crazy colors. Remember, the focus is on you, so wear something that will complement your personality and style, but not distract from your beautiful face!
MAKEUP
Makeup makes a YUGE difference in headshots. Wear about 30% more makeup than you normally would. If you don’t usually wear makeup, a little bit of foundation and mascara is great.
HAIR
Style it how you would if you were going to an interview.
How many outfits can I wear?
One. However, if you have a scarf, or jacket you want to put on for a different look, that’s fine. We just want to make sure we get as much time to take photos.
Do I have to be a family to get the family shoot?
Nope. And vice versa with the headshot shoot. It’s really more a question of how many photos do you think you’ll want? Usually the more people you have, the more photo choices you’ll want to have too.
Will you photoshop my wrinkles?
I don’t believe in completely removing wrinkles, but I do soften and lighten them so they aren’t as prevelent. I will remove acne and other blemishes, as well as do an overall softening of the skin which brightens up the eyes and adds a “de-aging” effect. If you prefer to have no photoshopping done, then let me know at your shoot and I’m happy to do that.
